Epoch 227 marks the Mid-Point to Decentralization when the D parameter reaches 0.5! This Update covers a whole lot more than that though!
Pledge Update
We have again increased our pledge, which now sits at 25K, the halfway point to our 50K target for STOIC Pool.
We will continue increasing our pledge every Epoch (or two) until we hit our 50K!
IOHK Monthly Update
The monthly update from IOHK was huge! From details on Goguen release to updates for Voltaire and a look at some of the amazing smart contract and voting tools under development. There is a lot to look forward to over the next few months from IOHK and the Cardano development team.
Goguen Roadmap Announced
Goguen Roadmap was released with talks of fortnightly releases of tools for smart contracts and dapps. Charles has repeatedly reminded us that this is not an all in one roll out of tools because there is a lot to implement and it isn’t as simple as flicking a switch. According to their roadmap we will look at a complete roll out by end of Spring 2021.
Marlowe Playground
The Marlowe Playground release was a tool to start creating and developing smart contracts and this is a great way to start bringing in developers and to learn about how different contracts can be implemented on the Cardano Blockchain. This is a very exciting thing for me as it is something I plan on testing out for myself over the next few weeks.

UK Lockdown Part 2!
The government announced over the weekend that we are going to be under a second lockdown through November. This comes as a bit of a shock as the British government has been trying to avoid this over the last few weeks. This sucks for me personally as it means my place of work will be closing up, although it gives me plenty of time to focus on building the pool and marketing STOIC with more content on the website and a lot of videos for the YouTube Channel!
