Epoch 225 is here and in this cycle there are a few things I am getting set up for STOIC Pool to attract more delegation and start earning some rewards!
Pledge Updates
I was planning on Updating my pledge for this epoch, however because of some trouble I had with my ADA purchase (details below) I was unable to get it into the pool wallet in time to update the pledge, so it is now just sitting as stake for this epoch.
Uphold App
I bought some ADA on Uphold, because you can, and so I thought I would test it out. I thought it would be interesting to buy here on my phone instead of depositing in Binance and converting from Bitcoin. I was obviously hoping that this would save me a bit in costs
It was a disaster!
You can’t transfer your ADA off Uphold, it isn’t supported. You can only buy and sell. So what I did was
Retired Stake Pools
It has been a sad Epoch because a few of the Stake Pool Operators whom I have spoken with in the SPO Telegram channel and various other places, have announced that they are retiring their pools.
This is such a shame to hear because I am in this ecosystem to see it succeed, and to hear that some people cannot continue to support a something they care about.
There is obviously a cost to running a stake pool, financial and time, and I am here for the long run!
I have already covered the cost of the pool and everything that goes with it, for an entire year, so we will not be going anywhere any time soon!
